HISTORY

A Classic Party Rental was founded by members of the Hawkins and Bayt family in 1989. Starting with a humble fruit stand at the Indianapolis City Market the family’s lives have always been intertwined in the food and service industry so it was no surprise when they ventured to party and event rental. Hard work and commitment to excellence were ingrained in the owners at a young age and that value still holds true today as they continue to run and operate A Classic.

The story of A Classic begins on Virginia Avenue, downtown Indianapolis, in a small space, less than 10,000 square feet with 5 employees. Because of their hard work, A Classic Party Rental expanded into a 30,000 square foot building in Nora Plaza. At the time, the owners never dreamed of being able to fill that warehouse and thought it was probably much too big. Once again, A Classic Party Rental swelled and exceeded their own expectations. After 20 years it outgrew its longtime home in Nora. We are thrilled to say, after 30 plus years of service, we expanded our footprint to a 110,000 square foot building with over 100 employees and are proud of our new home in Park 100, Indianapois.

Today, with the second generation of the family taking the lead, our vision has evolved but our story is the same. We will continue the tradition of hard work and commitment to excellence every day with you in mind.
